She had a tough year but bounced back more times than anyone could imagine.
But that was her.
She didn't like sweets much (that was her favorite line), but the truth be known, she was the original Dairy Queen. The woman liked her ice cream and Turtles candies.
I think we got more entertainment out of her and her dentures than all of the toys that Amanda and I ever owned.
I remember this one trip we went on, she was in the back seat with Amanda and I, and she had her hair in curlers and we'd pass cars and say "Do it, do it" and she'd look all crazy out the window at the passing car and stick her dentures clear out at the people in it. We'd all die laughing and wait for the next car.
I'll miss you Gran. Thank you for reminding me to live with no regrets and to love with no limits... for my tomorrow will come too.

i had been thinking about you and i was going to email you, but i thought i'd check out your blog. i'm so sorry to hear about your granny. my mamaw, too, died last tuesday. today was the graveside service. it seems surreal. i hope you are doing well. let me know if you need my address or anything. thank you!
